Olorunsogo LG Chairman, Olayanju Organizes First-ever Meeting Of Past Council Chairmen

Chairman, Olorunsogo local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju Orelope has hosted all the former chairmen of the local government at the Council’s secretariat, Igbeti.

The meeting marks an historic event as it was the first of its kind in the history of the local government

Speaking shortly before the meeting, Hon. Olayanju appreciated the time spared to honor the invitation saying it was a precious memory to behold.

Hon. Olayanju said the reason for the meeting was aimed at uniting  communities within the council irrespective of different political affiliation.

He said it was also to tap into the wealth of experience of the past chairmen for the growth and development of the local government.

“The meeting will bring forth a town hall meeting in due time” the chairman added.

He explained that the meetings will be held once a month for better deliberations of ideas and purposeful outcomes.

Furthermore, he added that there will be an inauguration of the Advisory Council Committee in which two chairmen among the ex-chairmen will be selected for maintaining the committee.

The chairman quoted “Two are better than one” the more reason for the committee.

The past chairmen commend the reasoning, concepts, and actions of Hon. Qozeem Olayanju Orelope to be one of the most brilliant and excellent moves saying “it’s the beginning of new things and the opportunity to make the community proud and excellent in all aspects.

The past chairmen laud the council executives for the opportunity and honor shows to them because it is one of a kind honor that they all appreciate.

They pledged their supports for the community’s growth, unity, harmony, peace, and outstanding success.

“There should be unity and strong cooperation among the Advisory Council”.

” The committee should be strong and clear in its decision. Advice should be noted and well-spelled before going by it.
