The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that it will conduct by-elections across affected constituencies on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
The elections are being organised to fill vacant seats in the National and State Assemblies, which have arisen due to resignations, deaths, or court annulments.
One of the affected constituencies is Ibadan North Federal constituency, following the death of Hon Akinremi Jagaban.
The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this during the consultative meeting with political parties in Abuja on Thursday.
