Maulud: Olorunsogo Council Chairman, Olayanju Preaches Peace • Urges Muslims To Emulate Virtues Of Prophet Muhammed
Executive Chairman, Olorunsogo Local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju Orelope has urged Muslim faithful to take a cue from the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud
Hon Olayanju gave the charge on Monday while speaking with journalists after performing his prayer obligation as a devout Muslim at the prayer ground in Igbeti.
The Chairman who encouraged Muslims to embrace the Prophet’s qualities of tolerance, humility, modesty, and honesty in their everyday lives, emphasised the importance of reflecting on the Prophet’s teachings and integrating his legacy of unity, integrity, peaceful coexistence, and love for one’s neighbor.
He said “As we commemorate this momentous occasion, I urge you all to embody the values that the noble messenger of Allah has left to humanity,” he said.
Hon. Olayanju underscored the need for the igbeti community to uphold these teachings as a foundation for community unity and progress.
According to him, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are essential in the pursuit of meaningful development and in the management of Nigeria’s diversity.
He called on Muslims to see the celebration of the Prophet’s birth as a time for spiritual renewal and a reminder for the igbeti community to unite in prayer for peace.
He said that he shared faith in God, and that the community should continue their prayers for peace across the community, state, and Nigeria at large would help realise the joy of the celebration.
The chairman advised the citizens to remain law-abiding and safeguard the peace and tranquillity the community and our dear state currently enjoy.
