A truck carrying container has lost control and crashed into a commercial tricycle at Takie Junction at approximately half past nine O’clock on Tuesday morning, causing tragedy in Ogbomoso and the immediate deaths of three individuals.
The articulated vehicle lost control while negotiating a turn, forcing the container to tumble and smash the tricycle, known locally as keke marwa.
According to an eyewitness account two female passengers and the tricycle rider were said to be trapped beneath the container.
Rescue operations subsequently verified the deaths of all three victims.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to remove the container from the road to avert further accidents and restore traffic flow in the area.
Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while approaching the affected section of the road.
