Seyi Makinde Promises Buses To Six LGs In Oke Ogun, To Be Returned After March 11 Elections

Engineer Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has told the people of Oke Ogun Zone 2 that his administration will construct the Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road as soon as possible.

Atisbo, Saki West, Saki East, Oorelope, Irepo, and Olorunsogo Local Government Areas are included in Oke-Ogun Zone 2.

He added that his administration would proceed with fixing the Igboho-Kishi-Igbeti road in order to connect the Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency with Saki’s booming economy, the state’s economic hub.

The governor urged the people of the axis not to fall prey to political deceit when he made this statement at the Town Hall Meeting held at Saki Parapo Hall. He claimed that the government had started building the road and would see it through.

The governor had earlier on Monday assured party supporters that his administration would continue to meet their needs in terms of governance, project delivery, and enhancing the welfare of party supporters at the Consultative Meeting with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders, held at the OYSADA Hall, Saki.

He called on the electorate in the axis to support all candidates of the PDP in the 2023 general election, stating that he is happy that reconciliation efforts in the state have been successful so far adding that everyone needs to be on the same page for the success of the party.

Governor Makinde, who refunded all aspirants who purchased forms for 2023 elections but lost out in the party primaries, also said the six councils in the axis would be given a bus each, which would be handed over to the Campaign Coordinators, who must then return them to the party after the March 11 governorship election.
