Police Parade Suspect For Killing Friend Over N2,000

The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended twelve suspected criminals for offences including murder and armed robbery related matters across different location in the state.

Parading the Suspects while briefing newsmen at the Police Headquarters in Akure, the Commissioner of Police, in Ondo State, Mr Abayomi Oladipo, said the offences such as Murder, arson, stealing, armed robbery among others were committed by the suspects recently.

According to the Police Commissioner, One Mr Monday Chukwu, a 34-year-old resident of Akintola village in the Odigbo area of the state was arrested for allegedly stabbing his friend, Kefa Ofando, to death.

The police investigation revealed that late Ofando, aged 30, had borrowed the suspect the sum of two thousand Naira, which, when demanded a few days later, led to an argument during which the suspect stabbed the victim with scissors on his neck and died from injury sustained.

The Police Commissioner, Mr Oladipo also paraded a 16-year old secondary school student, Precious Kolawole, for allegedly involved in the killing of a popular Akure based Caterer, Mrs. Adeniyi Iyabode, who recently murdered at her Oda road residence in Akure, making second suspect nabbed in connection with the case.

The Police Command also paraded four syndicates who specialised in stealing vehicles brainbox in Ondo state, who confessed to the crime by spending just five minutes to remove any vehicle brainbox.

CP Oladipo said the suspect would soon be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation.
