Osun State Police Command says it will leave no stone unturned to rid the state of notorious criminals.
The command public relations officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola stated this while speaking against the backdrop of incessant cult killings in ilesa.
Mrs Opalola, who observed that the trend had become worrisome in ilesa said the command would not fold its hands and allow cultists to turn the ancient town into a state of anarchy, noting that some arrests had been made in connection with the recent killings.
While speaking on Tuesday’s killings of two suspected cultists at express irojo, Mrs Opalola who identified the suspected cultists as Lekan, 28 and Sunday, 25 said they were killed as a result of a reprisal attack between Eye and Axe confraternity, following Sunday’s killings of two suspected cultists at a beer parlour in Imo.
She blamed the prevailing situation in the town on some politicians , who were sponsoring and supplying criminals with guns and ammunitions to cause mayhem in the name of politics, stressing that nemesis will catch up with them.
Mrs Opalola called on residents to be cautious and report strange activities to the police for immediate investigation, noting that security is everyone’s business.
