Osun Judiciary Workers Suspend Strike, Fix Resumption Date

The Osun state chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, has suspended its ongoing strike action, directing members of the union to resume duty next week Monday, 11th March, 2024.

According to a statement by union’s Chairman, Comrade Oluwagbemiga Eludire the decision is pursuant to the tripartite memorandum agreement signed by the Osun State Government, management of Osun State Judiciary and JUSUN leadership.

The statement notes that, there shall be no victimization of any form against any judicial officers or any members of JUSUN for participating directly or indirectly in the strike action or as a result of the strike action.

It directs the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to convey a meeting within 7 days from the day of suspension of the strike to enable the commission attend to other demands of the union such as regularization and promotion of all qualified members of staff.

The strike by the Osun state chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria JUSUN, commenced on the 22nd November, 2023
