The Executive Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government, Hon. Olayanju, is set to mark his one-year anniversary in office with a three-day powered packed events focused on project commissioning and community empowerment.
The celebration, which will begin on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, will commence with a special thanksgiving prayer at the local government secretariat by 10 a.m., symbolizing gratitude for a year of service.

Later that day, residents and youths will be treated to a friendly football match at Ogunbode Grammar School at 4 p.m., aimed at promoting sportsmanship and youth engagement.


Activities will continue on Thursday, June 26, with the commissioning of a newly completed borehole project located along Olosun Road, behind Chief Adetoro’s house.
The event is scheduled for 12 noon and will be followed immediately by the flag-off of a new volleyball court at UMCA Grammar School in Igbeti.
These projects, according to the local government, are part of Hon. Olayanju’s commitment to providing basic amenities and recreational facilities for residents.
The final day of the celebration, Friday, June 27, will feature a town hall meeting at Bellas Hall by 10 a.m., where the chairman is expected to present a report of his administration’s achievements and engage in dialogue with community members.
Later that afternoon, by 2 p.m., an empowerment programme targeting local farmers and elderly women will take place at Ogunbode Grammar School.
Beneficiaries are expected to receive various forms of support to enhance their livelihoods and well-being.
Hon. Olayanju’s administration, which began in May 24, 2024, has prioritized grassroots development, healthcare, education, and social welfare initiatives.
The anniversary celebration is seen not only as a reflection of accomplishments over the past year but also as a reaffirmation of the chairman’s commitment to inclusive governance and community upliftment.
Residents across Olorunsogo Local Government Area have been invited to participate in the activities as the council continues to strengthen ties with its constituents through developmental action and civic engagement.
