The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Oyo State Chapter, has taken significant steps to promote the uptake of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine during its State Management Meeting held in Ibadan.
The meeting, which brought together leaders of voluntary youth organizations across the state, featured an impactful sensitization session led by the State Chairman, Amb. Abdulsalam Abdulquadri Olusegun, FEIP.
Ambassador Abdulquadri emphasized the importance of HPV vaccination and immunization programs in the state, shedding light on current vaccination rates in Oyo State and its various local government areas.
He urged youth leaders to ramp up efforts in mobilizing their communities to access immunization services at local health centers.
In a bid to further galvanize action, the Chairman decorated Comrade Akeem Babalola, the emeritus Past Chairman, and Comrade Sunday Martin, the emeritus Past Secretary-General, as Champion
