The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ , FRCN Ibadan Chapel has hailed the emergence of Comrade Omolola Alamu as the Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State chapter.
Comrade Alamu, a staff of Radio Nigeria and dedicated member of the chapel, was inaugurated on Monday along side other executives at the Dapo Aderogba hall, NUJ press centre, iyaganku, Ibadan.
In a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Oluwakayode Banjo and Secretary, Comrade Opeyemi Olugbenga, the chapel expressed delight that a thorough bred journalist is now in charge to pilot the affairs of the association.
The Chapel commended Comrade Alamu’s doggedness, perseverance and tenacity in her aspiration to lead the association, charging her to use her wealth of experience to reposition Oyo NAWOJ to an enviable height.
