Governor Makinde who just commenced his annual vacation on 6th August, 2024 perhaps used the opportunity of his holiday to have a brief chat with the former governor.
Recall that the news of High Chief Rashidi Ladoja’s decision to accept to wear beaded Crown which has been a controversial traditional issue for awhile, especially among traditional rulers and with the state government, hit the media wave on Sunday
But according to a post on the social media account of Alhaji Akeem Azeez, Governor Makinde’s Personal Assistant, the visit was a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to peace and unity in the state
Azeez noted that the visit was a clear indication that the two leaders are working towards a peaceful and harmonious relationship, contrary to speculations of violence.
“I’m wondering what people who have been raising specter of violence on their timelines write about again,” Azeez said. “We all need peace to move the state forward, and that is what the two leaders are after.”
