Makinde Set To Abandon Governance To Embark On Town Hall Meeting In Katsina State || By David Oluokun
There are strong indications that the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is set to abandon the serious business of governance in Oyo State to embark on a jamboree town hall meeting in Katsina State, in pursuit of what political observers have described as a dead-on-arrival presidential ambition.
Credible sources within the Party (APM) revealed that Governor Makinde, who has failed to fix the basic problems of Oyo State after over seven years in office, is now parading himself across the Northern states, disguising as a presidential hopeful, while Oyo State bleeds.

OYO STATE IN RUINS, MAKINDE JUNKETING TO KATSINA

It is shameful and insensitive that at a time when:
– Oyo State workers are groaning under unpaid promotion arrears and economic hardship, despite the Greek gift wage award ( vote buying strategy)
– LAUTECH, Emmanuel Alayande University and other tertiary institutions are facing funding crisis,
– Roads in Ibadan inner city are in deplorable condition,
– Market women and artisans are being choked with multiple taxes,
– Insecurity and PMS thuggery have taken over motor parks,
Governor Makinde has chosen to abandon Agodi and relocate his government to Katsina for a political show that holds no value for Oyo people.
DEAD-ON-ARRIVAL AMBITION:
What does Seyi Makinde want to tell the people of Katsina?
A Governor who could not conduct credible local government elections, who centralized local government funds, who could not manage the PDP in Oyo State and lost control of the party structure, now wants to be President of Nigeria?
This presidential ambition is dead on arrival. Nigerians know that Makinde has no national acceptance, no track record of performance, and no ideological depth. His government in Oyo is built on propaganda, billboards and audio projects, not visible, verifiable achievements.
While serious APC governors are busy delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in their states, Makinde is busy flying chartered jets around Nigeria looking for presidential endorsement that will never come.
A GOVERNOR WHO HAS LOST FOCUS
Oyo people are asking: When will Makinde face governance?
The 2027 clock is ticking. The people have already rejected APM, Makinde’s Plan B,having lost control of PDP . They are waiting to vote Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli (BSA) and the APC to rescue Oyo State from maladministration.
We advise Governor Makinde to cancel his Katsina jamboree, Stay home, and use the little time remaining to face Governance before APC takes over in 2027.
Oyo State cannot be left on autopilot because of one man’s over-bloated presidential ego.
