A grassroots politician and Bobajiroro of Ido Land, Chief Kolapo Kola-Daisi, KKD, has commiserated with the victims of Ibadan Explosion that occured on Tuesday night at Adeyi, Bodija axis of Ibadan.
In a statement issued in Ibadan, Oloye Kolapo Kola-Daisi expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and called on leaders and concerned citizens to provide immediate relief and necessary resources to the victims and families.
The statement reads in part:
“I am profoundly saddened by the tragic blast that rocked the Bodija axis of Ibadan in the evening of Tuesday, the 16th of January, 2024. My heart goes out to the individuals and families affected by this devastating incident.
“In this difficult time, it is important that we all come together as government agencies, emergency responders, community leaders and concerned citizens to provide immediate relief and necessary resources to the victims and their families. We must stand united to support those grappling with the aftermath of this tragedy.
“While it is relieving to know that the State government has promised to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the explosion, it is much more imperative to prevent future occurrences and ensure the safety of residents in the area.
“We must prioritize the well-being of our communities and implement stringent safety measures and regulations to protect lives and properties.
“To the affected families, this is hard to process, but I implore you all to stay strong and resilient in the face of this tragedy. The entire community stands with you through this difficult period.
