The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has announced the immediate suspension of a former governor of the state, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, pending the outcome of disciplinary proceedings against him.
This was stated in a resolution by Ilesa East Executive Committee of APC, submitted to the Party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, as disclosed to Newsmen.
The Ilesa East Local Government Executive Committee of the APC, in its resolution requested disciplinary action against Mr. Aregbesola for anti-party activities.
The Ilesa East Executives noted that the action became imperative to restore party discipline and deter other members from engaging in anti-party activities,forming splinter groups and parallel organs, collaborating with opposition parties to unsettle the APC in Osun, and public outbursts against party leaders, including President Bola Tinubu.
