Ogun Govt. Shuts Obada Grammar School

The Ogun State Government has ordered the closure of Obada Grammar School, located in Obada, Idi-emi, following the death of Master Monday Arijo, a senior secondary school (SS2) student.

The decision comes after the arrest and suspension of a teacher alleged to be responsible for the student’s death, reportedly resulting from corporal punishment administered last Friday.

Additionally, the school’s principal, Mrs. Tamrat Onaolapo, has been suspended after receiving an official reprimand for permitting the use of corporal punishment, which is against the state’s regulations.
