Eid el Kabir: Ido Council Chairman, Adeojo Meets Security Agencies, Calls for Heightened Surveillance
Ahead of the Sallah celebrations, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, convened a security meeting with security agencies in the local government to review preparations, urging increased efforts to ensure a peaceful and joyous festive season.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo praised security personnel for their dedication and charged them to redouble their efforts during the Sallah period.

“There must be peace before, during and after Sallah. My people must experience a joyous celebration at this season,” the Chairman said.

He further called for cooperation between security agencies and the community to guarantee a peaceful Sallah celebration to everyone.
Security agencies present expressed gratitude to the Chairman for his continued support, particularly the recent distribution of solar-powered streetlights to all security posts last month which they said has improved night-time visibility and community safety. “Thanks for your usual support, Sir,” representatives remarked.
In the same vein,, all vigil gatherings are prohibited across Ido Local Government. No church or mosque is permitted to hold vigil services within the local government until further notice. While residents are urged to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activity or unfamiliar persons to the nearest security post, and to move in groups when going out, especially at night.
Other key stakeholders at the meeting include; Barr. Olayemi Oluwashina, Vice Chairman / Political Head Omi Apata LCDA; Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi, the Secretary to the local government; Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu, Head of Local Government Administration; Mr. Victor Adelu, Director of Administration and General Services; Sheikh Waliyullah Sanusi ,the Chief Imam Ido LG; Pastor Sunday Egbedokun, the CAN Chairman Ido LG ,DPO’s/DO/ OC security agencies.
