Day Of The African Child: Oyo NAWOJ Calls For Equity In Education Sector
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo state chapter has called on stakeholders in education Sector to take a pro active step at reducing number of out- of- school children in the Society.
This is contained in a statement by the Chairperson of the association, Mrs Omolola Alamu and signed by the Secretary, Mrs Eniola Adeaga on the occasion of the ‘Day of the African Child.
The Association noted that there should be equity and fairness in the education sector to make education accessible to all children in the society without any barrier.
The chairperson called for Collaboration among all stakeholders in the education sector so as to make policy that would enhance all children to have education.
Mrs Alamu however Congratulate all African children on this year’s occasion and salute their resilience in the face of this challenging economy.
She Also advised parents and guidance to ensure a condusive environment for their children and wards in having basic education.
As the theme for this year implies” EDUCATION FOR ALL CHILDREN IN AFRICA, THE TIME IS NOW” Mrs Alamu appealed to philanthropists in the Society to beam their Searchlight on the education of the less privileged in the society as to better their lots.
