The General Authority on Civil Aviation (GA CA Saudi Arabia has extended the deadline for the closure of Airspace for this year’s Hajj Exercise till tomorrow, Thursday 7th July.
This is coming as a relief to over two thousand five hundred Nigerian intending pilgrims who are yet to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj
It was gathered that a fruitful discussion between the representative of the Nigerian government led by Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON, Barrister Zikrullah Hassan
and Saudi Arabia Hajj authority led to the extension.
The Commission also said it had concluded arrangement with Flynas to operate three (3)rescue flights for pilgrims in Kano and Abuja.
Meanwhile, the two airlines that had stopped operations, Max Air and Azman airline would continue their airlifting operation from where they left off.
