If elected, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord Party’s candidate for governor of Oyo State in 2023, promises a better deal for the state’s monarchs and chiefs.
The monarchs were assured of adequate welfare by Chief Adelabu, who announced this in Igboora during his ongoing consultations with all of the State’s zones. He ensured the prompt release of the 5% allotted to them and promised additional welfare packages for the monarchs and chiefs.
“I solicit your support by voting for All Accord candidates in Oyo state in February and March 11 governorship election to correct the anomalies in the present administration in the State and to bring good governance to the people of Oyo.
I pleaded with you to vote for me to become governor of Oyo state in 2023 and to abstain from violence both before and after the election, Adelabu stated.
Chief Adelabu committed to support local government autonomy to spur quick growth at the grassroots after expressing regret that the local government administration had fallen short of expectations since they were elected more than 18 months ago.
In Igbo-Ora, he also met with traders and artisans, promising to help them by providing free loans to expand their businesses.
