Adeleke Observes First Jumat Service As Governor (PHOTOS)

Ademola Adeleke, the executive governor of Osun state, performed the Jumat Prayer for the first time as the state’s governor on Friday at Osogbo central mosque, to the admiration of all.

Governor Adeleke addressed the congregation and explained that this was in fulfillment of his promise that, should he win the election and be sworn in, he would observe the first Jumat Prayer in the mosque in appreciation of the spiritual and political support.

Governor Adeleke praised Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, the Ataoja of Osogboland, for his unwavering support, which almost caused him to oppose the previous administration.

He reassured the congregation that he is still committed to keeping all of his campaign pledges and asked for additional help to succeed in living. better for the populace.

The Governor was thanked for his love of Osogbo by the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, who claimed that the governor had blocked the planned move of a tractor assembling facility from Osogbo to another town.

The monarch gave the governor the assurance that all Osogbo natives, both at home and abroad, would support him fully in his efforts to transform Osogbo and Osun state as a whole.

Earlier in his sermon drawn from Quran chapter 42 verse 43, the Chief Imam of Osogboland, Sheikh Musa Animasahun called on the governor to forgive whoever offends him having being patient during the days of struggles as gubernatorial aspirant.

The Chief Imam who lauded the governor and charged him to hold griply to the tenets of Islam said he would be among creatures who will be blessed by Allah.

The Governor who paid an unscheduled homage to the Ataoja was accompanied by a cheering crowd from the mosque to the palace where the Ataoja ìn council welcomed the Governor.

Meanwhile, Osun state Governor, Ademola Adeleke has warned against any conduct or activity that may be inimical to the peace and progress of the state.
