On October 11, 2022, President Muhammadu Buhari will present Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord Party’s candidate for governor of Oyo State, with the National Award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR.
Sen. George Akume, the honorable minister for special duties and intergovernmental affairs, signed the notice of conferral.
Adelabu, a former deputy governor of Nigeria’s top bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria, will join other deserving recipients of the National Honors determined by the federal government.
The financial expert’s award will be presented on the same day that his campaign for governor should get underway.
“I have the honor to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the conferral of National honor on you in the rank of OFR, (Officer of the order of the Federal Republic),” says the letter containing the 2022 National Honour Award.
“The investiture ceremony is scheduled to take place at the International conference centre, ICC, Abuja on Tuesday 11, October, 2022 at 9am.
“All award recipients are required to forward one-page citation and current passport photograph”.
