Children’s Rights, Privileges Should Be Protected – Providence Coalition President, Prince Adeyoju

Children has been described as a veritable tool capable of building peace in any society.

President, Providence Coalition, a socio-political group in Oyo, Prince Niran Adeyoju made this known in a statement signed to celebrate children across the globe on the occasion of this year’s children’s Day.

Prince Adeyoju who cited the rights, privileges and respect of the children in the United Nations charter and the Nigerian constitution which criminalises violence and all forms of abuses, even in the war zones, called for full implementation, and protection of these rights.

Prince Adeyoju said it was unfortunate that people abuse children physically, sexually and economically appealed to parents, guardians and the society at large to invest in raising generation of children that are morally and educationally sound.

He urged the children not to be discouraged by the socio-economic woes in the country, charging them to sustain their goals at becoming a good ambassador to the society.
