2027: Oyo ADC Guber Candidate, Adegoke Inaugurates Campaign Council, Appoints Five Special Advisers (See List).
Oyo State governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, has inaugurated his 2027 Campaign Council and appointed five Special Advisers as the party begins preparations for the governorship election.
The Campaign Council is headed by Mr Adetayo Olusola as Director-General, while Mr Oyetunji Oyetunde will serve as Deputy Director-General.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration at his campaign office in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Chief Adegoke said the council was mandated to develop strategies capable of securing victory for the ADC in the 2027 governorship election.

He explained that the council would also consult party stakeholders across the 33 local government areas of the state to obtain their input towards the composition of campaign committees.
The ADC governorship candidate urged party members and supporters to give the newly inaugurated council the necessary cooperation and support to enable it to discharge its responsibilities effectively.
On the controversy surrounding an individual who had reportedly claimed to be the ADC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Chief Adegoke described the development as an attempt to mislead members of the public, stressing that the individual’s name was not on the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Chief Adegoke maintained that he was duly elected at the party’s governorship primary, recognised by the national leadership of the ADC and INEC, adding that his name, Adegboyega Adegoke, remained the only name uploaded on the INEC portal as the recognised ADC governorship candidate in Oyo State.
He also expressed confidence that the party would soon receive defectors from other political parties across the state.
Chief Adegoke pledged that his campaign would be issue-based, promising that, if elected, his administration would prioritise security, agriculture, education, youth and women empowerment, alongside other critical sectors of the state’s economy and development.
He promised to commence the construction of a rail line from Moniya Ibadan linking Oke Ogun zone of the state within the first one hundred days of his administration
