World Institute Of Peace Appoints Former Oyo NOA Director As National Coordinator For 2023 Elections
The Founder/Executive Chairman, World Institute Of Peace, WIP Mr Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi has appointed former Oyo State Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu as the WIP National Coordinator, Election Matters in Nigeria for 2023.
Chief Mrs. Dosunmu was appointed at the 2022 International Peace Confab and 9th anniversary of the World Institute for Peace (WIP) held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
At the event themed: “View to Peace Building, Security and Human Right in Modern World: How Can We End Banditry?”, participants discussed peace building, security and human right in modern world and also proffered ways by which banditry can be ended.
Chief Mrs Dosunmu was appointed and awarded “Epitome Of Peace” among other prominent Nigerians, including Director General NIA, Nigeria Ambassador, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar CFR, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule, Nasarawa State Governor, Nigeria, Ambassador (DR) Pedrito Marrero, Florida, USA, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Olokode T. Olawale among others
Appreciating the World Institute of Peace for the award of Epitome of Peace and the appointment, Chief Mrs Dosunmu described the feat as a call to further strengthen her desire to pursue peace.
“I saw it as a Wake up call to further strengthen my desire to pursue Peace especially in Nigeria. Now that Nigeria is entering into the season of Elections in 2023.”
The former NOA Director said as the 2023 general Elections draw near, It was expedient for stakeholders to see peace as a major ingredient of a successful election.
Chief Mrs Dosunmu said peace should be of a major concern in the fabrics of Nigeria as a Nation at the moment, “therefore it is right time for WIP to also consider holding programs that will impact peaceful coexistence among citizens of our great Nation Nigeria.”
Present at the conference were the Governor of Nasarawa State, A. Sule represented by Yakubu Lamai, the Director General on Strategic Communications to the Governor, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 7 (Bauch) Olawale Olokode, Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun CFR (rtd)
