The governor-elect in the just concluded election in Edo state, Monday Okpebhole, has met with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
Okpebholo arrived to the presidential mansion on Thursday accompanied by a few of the APC governors as well as Abdullahi Ganduje, the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a video which surfaced online, the governor elect and the deputy were seen kneeling, apparently to greet or thank the president.

In attendance at the villa were Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo state and chair of the Progressive Governors Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Usman Ododo (Kogi) and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state..
Others on the entourage were Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, senator representing Edo north, and Philip Shaibu, the reinstated deputy governor of Edo state.
Earlier, Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa, his deputy, received their certificates of return at the INEC headquarters before proceeding to meet with Tinubu.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Okpebholo winner of the September 21 election after he secured 291,667 votes.
The APC candidate defeated his closest challenger, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 247,274 votes.
