President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Segun Aina as the next Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, replacing Professor Ishaq Oloyede, whose tenure is expected to end on July 31, 2026.

The announcement was contained in a statement released on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the Presidency, Aina, a 39-year-old professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, has gained recognition for his contributions to technology-driven reforms and public-sector innovation, with extensive experience in digital systems, examination administration and institutional development.
