The Borehole Is A “Lifesaver” – Adagbada Community Appreciates Ido LG Chairman For Providing Water Facility 

The people of Adagbada Community in Ido Local Government Area have expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, for the provision of a new borehole water facility in their community.

The commendation was made on Thursday during the sinking of the water facility at the designated point provided by the community, where community leaders, elders, women, and youths converged to celebrate the intervention.

Speaking on behalf of the community leaders, pastor Oke Adesina, described the borehole as a “lifesaver” that has put an end to years of water scarcity and hardship in the area.

“We have suffered for many years walking long distances to fetch water. Today, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has brought water to our doorstep.

“This is governance that touches the grassroots. We are truly grateful and we pray that God continues to strengthen him,” the landlords’ spokes man stated.

Also speaking, the Chairperson of the Community land ladies Association, Mrs Adeyemo noted that access to clean water will improve health, reduce water-borne diseases, and ease the burden on women and children in the community.

In his response, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo said the borehole project is part of his administration’s commitment to delivering basic amenities to all wards in Ido LGA, especially underserved rural communities.

“Water is life. No government can claim to be serving the people if basic needs like clean water are not met. Adagbada deserves this and more.

“We will continue to take development to every corner of Ido Local Government,” the Chairman said.

The council boss further urged residents to take ownership of the facility, protect it from vandalism, and use it responsibly for the benefit of present and future generations.
