Teachers Lament Inhumane Treatment During Friday’s TRCN Exam In Ibadan

Over one thousand five hundred teachers who were supposed to sit for Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN professional examination on Friday, face difficulties over the conduct of the exercise.

Newsarena.ng reports that the teachers  raised their concern about the inadequate facilities for the examination

One of teachers, Mr Olumuyiwa Ayobamidele said they got to the venue of the exam at 7 O’Clock in the morning, but no proper provision  was made for the conduct of the exercise.

He said, the teachers came from different locations including Oke Ogun, Saki, Iseyin and Oyo town.

He explained that there are 5 CBT centres where the exam can be done within Oyo town, alleging that the organizers were sensitive enough to allow them write the exams at different locations.

He said they were not well treated as teachers despite the fact that the examination was paid for.

Another teacher said there was no enough computer system, noting that only 50 systems was provided for 1500 teachers.

He said “The crowd is too much and it is disturbing the academic activities of the school they were using.

“We deserve more than that, no one was available to address us. The exam need to be cancelled and the examiners need to re-strategize.

Also speaking, another teacher who expressed anger said she paid for the exam and that she’s still suffering to do the exam.

She added that “We’re not interested in doing the exam again and we should all be given same scores and handed their certificate.
