A suspected kidnapper, who gave his name as Saidu Barka has been arrested near Ipapo in Itesiwaju local government area of Oyo state by operatives of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN.
Aged thirty, the suspect was said to have failed in his bid to abduct one Alhaji Mukaila, a cattle dealer and farmer.
Interrogation by the vigilantes through a Fufulde language interpreter, Saidu Barka who pretended to be an okada rider reportedly confessed to be a serial kidnapper.
Commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria VGN, Oyo state command, Comrade Sunday Olajide confirmed the arrest and his subsequent handing over to the police in Ipapo.
However, police reaction on the incident is yet to be obtained.
