Six persons including a couple Taiwo Olutufese Ajalorun and Salawa Oyenusi Ajalorun have been arrested by Operatives of Ogun State Police command for allegedly kidnapping, killing and dismembering of a 26 year old mother of two, Oyindamola Adeyemi.
The suspects, Lukman Oladele, Kayode Ibrahim, Bello Akeem, Alebiosu Adebayo, Fatai Rasheed and Fatai Jimoh were apprehended after the neighbour of the victim, Ojo Omolara had reported at Obalende divisional headquarters; Ijebu-Ode that Oyindamola Adeyemi had not returned home since she left home in morning of Wednesday 28th of December 2022.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the arrest of the suspects in Abeokuta.
Mr Oyeyemi said the deceased phone was recovered from Taiwo Olutufese Ajalorun, a herbalist alongside a container full of human blood while the legs of the victim were recovered from Lukman Oladele.
The PPRO said the confessional statements of Taiwo Olutufese Ajalorun and Lukman Oladele led to the arrest of other suspects who are buyers of different parts of the deceased body.
According to them, the legs of the deceased were sold at the rate of 30 thousand naira while the heart was sold at the rate of 50 thousand naira to Akeem Bello, while the person who bought the head is still at large.
Mr Oyeyemi said the suspects confessed further that the victim was the third persons they had killed in such gruesome manner.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Homicide section of the state criminal investigation departments for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
