RTEAN Launches NLG Buses, To Be Distributed Across 774 LGA

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN under the leadership of its Executive President Alhaji Muhammed Musa Maitokobi has Launched its first set of CNG/NLG gas buses for members of the public in Abuja.

The initiative was funded by the leadership of the association with a view to compliment Federal government’s efforts to move the country from fuel consumption vehicles to gas.

Inaugurating the NLG buses, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha represented by Ibrahim Abiodun, commended the leadership of Rtean for the giant stride saying it will go a long way at diversifying the transportation sector.

The SGF promised government’s necessary support and cooperation, challenging other relevant stakeholders to key into the laudable initiative.

In his address, Executive President Road transport employers association of Nigeria, RTEAN Alhaji Muhammed Musa Maitokobi said it was not the first time rtean was commissioning brand new vehicles for its members and the public.

He said the launch of the new NLG buses was unique at a time when Nigeria needed to move from petroleum to gas and electrical vehicles.

The Rtean President said the buses will be distributed to the 774 LGs across the country.

Also speaking at the event, Oyo state Rtean chairman, Mr Idowu Owogesi appealed to government to provide NLG gas stations across the country.

Also speaking, Senator Gbemisola Saraki minister of state for transportation, represented by Mrs Angela Kayode said the world is moving aggressively to the use of gas and that president Muhammad Buhari is leading the campaign across the African continent
