PHOTOS: Workers Picket Finance Ministry In Abuja Over ‘Unpaid Allowances’

Workers under the aegis of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have picketed the headquarters of the federal ministry of finance in Abuja.

Clad in red T-shirts and caps, they barricaded the entrance to the building and restricted vehicular movement.

Some of the aggrieved employees held aloft placards with inscriptions like ‘Wale Edun, where is our allowance?’, ‘Stop the delay and pay us now’, ‘Wale Edun, please release the payment file’, ‘Let the poor breathe’.

The workers said they are protesting months of unpaid allowances dating back to January 2025.

They vowed to continue the protest tomorrow if their demands are not met.
