Dr. Kemi Afolayan has taken over as the acting director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo state, following the retirement of Mr Kayode Odedokun.
Mr Odedokun bowed out of service on Thursday, 21sth September, 2023 after thirty five years of meritorious service and attaining the statutory age of sixty.
The immediate past director who rose through the ranks to become the state director, joined the service as an assistant social mobilization officer on grade level 8 and was known for his humility, dedication, staff welfare, and hardwork while in active service.
Speaking with journalists shortly after handing over at the NOA state secretariate, Agodi, Ibadan, Mr Odedokun appreciated God for the grace to retire as a director which he said he never thought of becoming while joining the service.
Mr Odedokun who appealed to the management and staff of NOA in the state to remain steadfast and dutiful despite the paucity of funds at the agency, said the major legacy he was leaving behind was the unity among staff.
Some staff who spoke at the ceremony described Mr Odedokun as an easy going, prudent, and God fearing man.
