Late Sulimon Ariyibi, ward 10 councillor, Ibadan South East local government area has received final honors from the Chairman of the council, Hon. Emmanuel Alawode and his colleagues who are legislators in the council chamber.
A few days prior to the state’s elections for the governorship and state House of Assembly, the deceased and two other people were murdered During a political rally in Ibadan.
As reported, the deceased was attacked and murdered in the Ile Tuntun neighborhood of the state capital of Ibadan while his wife and kids were present.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso while confirming the incident said: “We have received the sad report, and investigations are ongoing to unravel the situation that led to the development.”
