PHOTOS: Asigangan Installs New Odofasin of Igangan

The Asigangan of Igangan land, Oba Rafiu Olaniyi Ariwoola on Friday 28 February, 2025 installed new Odofasin of Igangan land, Chief Sangodiran John Rotimi.
In his keynote address, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede expressed confidence that under the reign of the new Odofasin of Igangan, the area would flourish and his people would thrive more than previously.
Hon. Akorede, who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Bisi Akande recognized the critical role traditional leadership plays in maintaining the social fabrics, promoting peace and providing guidance to the people, noted that the government would continue to support, collaborate and work hand in hand with the new Odofasin of Igangan, for the progress of the area.
The council boss appealed to the new Odofasin of Igangan, Chief Sangodiran Rotimi, as a custodian of culture to prioritize the welfare of people and make security of the area paramount and should play a father figure roles at all times.
While decorating the new traditional ruler with Akoko leaves, the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Ariwoola advised him to see his installation as a call to serve. The paramount traditional ruler stressed that the new community leader should work tirelessly for the progress, peace and unity of Igangan land.
In his acceptance speech, the Odofasin of Igangan, Chief Sangodiran Rotimi appreciated God for making the day reality.
Chief Sangodiran promised to justify the confidence people reposed in him by bringing unprecedented development to his domain.
He thanked the Asigangan of Igangan,Oba Rafiu Adeniyi Olaniyi Ariwoola, all Obas and Chiefs and well wishers for the love showed him during the installation.
