Oyo: NOA Begins Two Weeks Sensitization Campaign On FG’s Policies, Programmes

National Orientation Agency, NOA, has launched a Two -Week sensitisation campaign to engage citizens on five thematic areas of Federal Government policies and programmes to serve the citizens better.

The Director-General of the Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu made this known while addressing Newsmen at the Oyo State Headquarters of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Agodi Ibadan, the State Capital.

Mallam Issa-Onilu who was represented by the Deputy Director, Establishments, NOA Headquarters, Abuja, Mr Temitope Adewumi said, the thematic areas include, Value Reorientation for Students of Secondary and Tertiary Institutions against Sign Out Extreme Practices; National Security; Flood Mitigation; and the Nigerian Identity Project and National Symbols

The NOA Director-General Maintained that the Sensitization programme would be held in all the 774 Local Government Areas Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Mallam Issa-Onilu stressed that, the Agency would reiterate more on the ongoing interventions of the President Bola Tinubu led Administration on the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND and the Social Safety Nets Expansion Programme

He attributed the devastating impact of flooding in some parts of the Country to poor drainage systems and indiscriminate dumping of waste by the Residents, calling on them to desist from such dangerous act.

Earlier, the Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo State Directorate, Alhaja Ajolayo Akande, described the campaign as a worthy national programme that would help to change the mindset of the citizens towards making the Country better.

The Stakeholders meeting will be held on Thursday, 4th September, 2025 at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan.
