Oyo Guber: Why We Dropped Bayo Adelabu – Accord Scribe • All Exco Remain Loyal To Accord

Oyo state working committee of ACCORD under the leadership of Prince Kolade Ojo has cautioned political usurpers and interlopers to focus on issue based campaign rather than heating up the polity with falsehood and cunning narratives.

The warning is contained in a release in Ibadan by the state secretary of ACCORD, Hon. Olayinka Dairo in reaction to imaginary defection of the authentic party helmsmen into the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Hon. Dairo explained that for the avoidance of doubt and to keep record straight, all the state, local government and ward executives of ACCORD remained resolute and loyal to the ideology of the party, while the ACCORD national secretary, Hon Dr Adebukola Ajaja remained the state party leader.

“We cannot afford to leave ACCORD we have worked conscientiously to build for newcomers or allow moles to infiltrate our ranks, we are bonafide ACCORD executives”. Hon. Dairo emphasized.

He stressed that the alliance with Governor Seyi Makinde as being explained during the press conference on Wednesday 8th March, 2023 was to strengthen good governance, sustain ongoing developmental strides and ensure sustainable growth in all sectors under a visionary, competent and humanitarian leader in the overall interest of the state.

He said the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu was dumped for always making unilateral decisions, promoting divisions within the party and having flagrant disrespect for the party hierarchy, adding that the purported dissolution of the state executives was a fallacy from the pit of hell.

The Oyo ACCORD scribe restated that the 32 ACCORD candidates for the forthcoming governorship and house of assembly elections are still in the race in their various constituencies, appealing to party supporters and loyalists to rally round them for victory.
