Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the upgrade of the Agodi Gardens, Ibadan to an international Botanical gardens tourist center.
The approval was part of his efforts to use Tourism to boost the state’s economy,
Governor Makinde disclosed this during an international Tourism Summit Dinner and Award Night in Ibadan.
He said his administration would not relent at ensuring an accelerated development and sustainable development roadmap for the State in Omituntun 2.0 are fully achieved.
The governor said one of the best ways to demonstrate what he had promised the good people of Oyo state is to appreciate those who have contributed immensely to the development of tourism potentials in the state.
It was gathered that awards of excellence were later presented to some outstanding Individuals and groups that have contributed positively to the development of tourism in the state.
