Oyo Assembly Lawmakers Visit Ibarapa East, Inspects Ongoing Renovation Of Eleruwa Palace

The Oyo State House Of Assembly lawmakers led by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. (Prince) Sanjo Onaolapo Adedoyin, representing Ogbomoso South have visited Ibarapa East Local Government, Eruwa.
Other legislators who accompanied Hon. Adedoyin were; the Minority Leader, Hon. Waliu Salami, representing Irepo/Olorunsogo State Constituency; Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Samson Olasunkanmi Babalola (Egbeda); Chief Whip, Hon. Gbenga Joseph Oyekola, representing Atiba State constituency; Hon. Monsuru Olalekan Abiola, representing Akinyele Constituency1;
Hon. Kehinde Taofeek, representing Akinyele Constituency II; Hon.(Mrs) Olubisi Oluranti Michael, representing Ogbomoso North Constituency and Hon. Anthony Ogunsola, representing Iwajowa State Consistency.

In his address of welcome, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade commended the State legislators for discharging oversight functions efficiently.

Hon. Arogundade prayed for more wisdom for the lawmakers and wished the best in all endeavors.
At a crucial meeting which took place at the chairman’s office, the leader of the House, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin hinted on their mission to the council which according to him was to assess government performance from inception of Gov. Seyi Makinde’s administration in local governments across Oyo state so as to know the next line of action.
After the meeting, the committee and all Ibarapa East Local Government political functionaries and all carrier officers in the council inspected Ongoing Eleruwa Palace; Maternity Centre, Anko, Eruwa and Eleruwa residence at Sanngo, Eruwa.
At the residence of Eleruwa of Eruwa land, the Majority Leader of Oyo State House of Assembly Congratulated Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola,Olurin Ajobo1(JP) on his coronation and prayed for long life for the paramount traditional ruler.
In his response, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola,Olurin Ajobo1(JP), thanked the lawmakers in Oyo State under the leadership of Rt (Hon.) Adebo Edward Ogundoyin.
The monarch expressed delight for how the lawmakers in Oyo State perform their oversight functions and charged to keep it up.
The royal father made reference to the promotion of obas, adding that before Osun State was carved out from Oyo State, there were 15 members of Oyo State traditional council in which Eleruwa was one of them.
Oba Adegbola added that when Osun State was carved out, eleven members of traditional council went with Osun, remained four, saying among the then remaining four, Eleruwa was one of them as well.
In the same vein, Oba Adegbola appreciated Gov. Seyi Makinde for his performance across the state and he appealed to the governor to complete Ido-Eruwa road.
The monarch also called on government to do asphalt tarring roads within Eruwa town, complete the ongoing palace renovation and gift car to the monarchs.

(Mrs) Rachael Oyenike Azeez; Secretary to Ibarapa East Local Government,Evang. Dele Olaito; Chief of Staff,Alh. Olatunji Kasali; Personal Assistant to Oyo Speaker,Com. Seun Ololade; Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Pastor Sunday Adegoke and Director of Administration and General Services (DAGS), Mr Peter Iyanda.
All councillors; supervisors: S.As and head of each department were in attendance as well.
