The new owa of Igbajo, Oba Adegboyega Famodun(mi re mi do mi), has received staff of office and an instrument of appointment from Osun State Governor Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola.
During his speech at the gathering in Igbajo’s palace plaza, Governor Oyetola pleaded with the residents to support Oba Famodun so that he could advance the town.
He expressed his gratitude to the people of Osun State for their support of his administration, and the governor also advised them to show their appreciation by carrying out their civic duties.
In his speech, Oba Famodun expressed gratitude to the audience for their support and a desire for more to ensure the town’s continued development.
The new Owa of Igbajo made a big contribution to the growth of Osun state and Igbajo in particular, according to Engr Samson Awodiji, chairman of the Boluwaduro East Local Council Development Authority. He urged the Igbajo natives to assist Kabiyesi in developing the town.
Evangelist Razaq Adeosun, special adviser to the governor of Osun state on local government and chieftancy affairs, stated in a goodwill message that the process for choosing the new king was peaceful and well-supported.
Until his election as the new Owa Of Igbajo, Oba Adegboyega Famodun was the immediate past chairman of the All Progressive Congress , APC, in Osun state before his election.
It would be recalled that the last Owa of Igbajo joined his ancestors on 23rd, December, 2020.
