The Agbaakin of Irokoland and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state, Dr Fola Akinosun has commiserated with the immediate family of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olalekan Balogun, the Olubadan in council and the entire Ibadan Indigenes.
The Ibadan, Korukoru compound born politician and educationist also commiserated with the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII over the passing of the Olubadan
Dr Akinosun in a statement personally signed and made available to newsarena.ng on Saturday described the late monarch as a man who loved and followed peace with all men.
Dr Akinosun said the sudden news of Oba Balogun’s passing to join his ancestors was shocking and devastating, nevertheless, the first class monarch enjoyed unprecedented peace, development and numerous achievements during his short reign.
He said the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general election in Oyo state and massive progress on the new Olubadan palace were few out of the achievements recorded during Oba Balogun’s reign.
Dr. Akinosun who prayed for the repose of the late monarch, congratulated the Olubadan designate, urging Ibadan Indigenes to give maximum support for him
