Oba Adebimpe’s Passing: Reps’ Member, ‘Odidiomo’ Commiserates With Olubadan, Olubadan in Council, Ibadan Indigenes
Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo has commiserated with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan-in-Council, family of the deceased and the entire sons and daughters of Ibadanland over the demise of Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, who passed on yesterday.
In a condolence message, made available to newsmen by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha over the death of the revered Ibadan high chief, Hon. Olajide described the late Oba Adebimpe as a visionary leader, a champion of peace and a symbol of unity, whose contributions to the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State would be remembered for generations to come.
According to Olajide, “Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe was a shining star, whose light illuminated the path of progress and development in Ibadanland.”
“His wise leadership, guidance and counsel would be deeply missed by all who knew him,” Hon. Olajide said.
The late Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, was known for his commitment to the welfare and well-being of his people.
He was a strong advocate for education, healthcare and economic empowerment and his legacy continues to inspire and motivate the people of Ibadanland.
Hon. Olajide, who had a close relationship with the late Oba Adebimpe, recalled his encounters with the revered traditional ruler, describing him as a kind, compassionate and humble father who always put the interests of his people above his own.
“I had the privilege of interacting with Oba Adebimpe on several occasions and I was always impressed by his wisdom, humility and dedication to the service of his people.”
He was a true leader, who embodied the values of integrity, honesty, and transparency,” Hon. Olajide emphasized.
I extend my deep condolence to the family of the late Oba Adebimpe, the Olubadan-in-Council and the entire sons and daughters of Ibadanland, over the loss of our beloved traditional ruler.
“May the soul of Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe rest in peace and may his legacy continue to inspire and motivate us to work towards a better future for Ibadanland and Oyo State,” Olajide concluded.
