Ibrahim. Ajiboye “Omo Iya Eleja,” a federal House of Representatives candidate for the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in the Ibadan Northeast and Southeast constituency, was one of the nine Nigerians honored with the “Honoris Causa” award by Prowess University at a prestigious ceremony held at the Otunba Balogun Subomi Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
At the ceremony, Omo Iya Eleja was ably represented by family members and supporters of his political cause. He was also inducted as a fellow of the Ecolerite Institute for Advancement ( FEIPA ).
He earned this honor on account of his career accomplishment and leadership potential, an internationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction, according to the university.
Responding on behalf of the award recipient, Dr. Mrs. Olubunmi Florence said Omo Iya Eleja is immensely happy to be honored and received the Doctorate Degree award in good mind, adding that it is going to spur him to be more hard working, persevere and consistent “he will surely continue to develop as a young leader and impact the lives of others positively”
Ibrahim Ajiboye Omo Iya Eleja has been involved in several community-based organizations both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora, with a special focus on community development, youth empowerment, and capacity building to help the youths adapt successfully to the environment in the face of adversity, and advocacy for the less privileged and voiceless ones.
He is a former member of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo state but later dumped the party for lack of internal democracy and injustices to party aspirants.
Omo Iya Eleja Emerged as the Ibadan Northeast, Southeast House of Representatives candidate after winning the party primary last May.
