Nigeria @64: NUJ FRCN Chapel Hails Nigerians’ Resilience
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel, has saluted the courage and resilience of Nigerians, especially at a time the country is facing myriad of challenges.
Chairman of the chapel, Comrade Oluwakayode Banjo gave the salutation in a statement signed by the chapel’s secretary, Comrade Opeyemi Olugbenga, to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary.
Comrade Banjo noted that, despite the challenges facing the country, there is the need to be thankful to God for His sustenance.
According to Comrade Banjo, the never say die spirit of Nigerians is commendable especially during this trying period in the country.
He urged Nigerians not to give up on the country, but to continue to pray and contribute their quota towards the revival of the nation.
The NUJ FRCN Ibadan Chapel Chairman also called on the Nation’s leaders to shun selfish interest and put the interest of the country above every other thing.
While equally commending members of the chapel for their dedication to the development of the chapel, Comrade Oluwakayode Banjo urged them to continue to work with the chapel’s leadership as a team to making it the best among others.

Despite the mounting challenges, we cannot forget as Journalists the giant footprints of our heroes who fought tirelessly to ensure the feat of Independence from the Colonial Rule.
Dear Comrades, let us continue to do our best for the Corporation and our Great Union knowing full well that, no matter how dark the night is, the day will surely break and the daybreak is a little bit ahead of us.
I wish you all the best in the struggle for our Union and the Country.
