The ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has had minimal impact on academic activities, as some lecturers continue to conduct skeletal lectures.
Radio Nigeria observed that while ASUU members are participating in the strike, some academic activities are still ongoing.

One of the students, Miss Doyin Akinwale, told Radio Nigeria that they had been receiving partial lectures since the strike began last Thursday.

Miss Akinwale, however, appealed to the striking lecturers to dialogue with the university management and suspend the strike to enable students to resume full academic activities.
Similarly, a member of the non-academic staff, who pleaded anonymity, said the Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, were yet to join the strike.
He said members of the two unions were still holding meetings with the management to reach an agreement on their demands.
The LAUTECH Academic Staff Union embarked on the strike last Thursday over the non-implementation of the 2025 agreement between the Federal Government and ASUU, particularly the non-payment of outstanding entitlements.
The Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Olayinka Balogun, could not be reached for comments on behalf of the management.
