Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped one man simply identified as Bakare on a farm located in Jabata, Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Report says Bakare hails from Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government Area in Osun State and was said to be kidnapped on late governor Adebayo Alao akala’s Farm.
An anonymous source close to the Alao-Akala family who confirmed the abduction said that the kidnappers are demanding the sum of N100m ransom.
“Yes, he has been kidnapped. Those guys speak a smattering of Yoruba. He was kidnapped in the farm”.
He also explained that “We have been trying to negotiate with them even though the police have been informed.”
The source added that Bakare who is the supervisor employed to the farm was abducted on Saturday
As at the time of this report, the Oyo State police command is yet to make official statement on the matter.
