Ladoja, PDP Governors, Candidates, Royal Fathers, Others Arrive Adeleke’s Inauguration In Osun (PHOTOS)
Senator Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, will succeed Mr. Gboyega Oyetola as governor with pomp and ceremony. He will be the state’s sixth governor.
In order to overcome his closest challenger, incumbent Governor Oyetola of the APC, who received 375,027 votes, Senator Adeleke of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, polled 403,371 votes.
The member of the House of Representatives for Ede, Egbedore, and Ejigbo stated that Ademola Adeleke’s administration would be an inclusive one that prioritized human development.
The Chief Justice of Osun state, Justice Adepele Ojo is on ground to administer the oath of office on the Governor.
Dignitaries who have have arrived at the Osogbo township stadium, venue of the inauguration, include, Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, Jide Adediran, Jandor, the PDP Governorship aspirant for Lagos, Former Governor of Oyo state, Chief Rasheed Ladoja.
Royal fathers at the programme include Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji and other monarchs in Osun state.
Other party stalwarts from Osun and other states were also on ground to celebrate the new government.
