A pastor of the Redeem Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Olugbenga Olawore, whose kidnapping was reported in News on Sunday 21st April, 2024 is now a free man.
This was revealed by the oyo state commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
According to the commissioner, “our people should rest assured that our security apparatus in the state are fully alive and alert to their responsibilities.”
The Commissioner said that the State Government is monitoring and gauging the security situations within its boundary efficiently.
The newspapers had correctly reported the kidnapping of the Pastor and few others at the Maya axis of Lanlate-Eruwa road, all within oyo state boundary .
Prince Oyelade said “since the incident was reported, government has been in close contact with the state Commissioner of police, Compol Bola Hamzat, his team and our own security teams and all parties have done the needful as usual to ensure the safety of lives and properties of our citizens.”
Oyelade reiterated that Oyo state remains the most peaceful state in the federation.
