Some group of people suspected to be members of the Oodua Nation agitators on Saturday morning 13th April 2024 engaged security operatives in a gun dwell at the Oyo state government secretariat, Agodi Ibadan when the agitators attempted to take over the state assembly complex.
According to westerdailynews.com, the suspected Oodua Nation agitators in Army uniform stormed the government secretariat in numbers to hijack the House of Assembly.
It was gathered that men of the Nigerian Police Force and other security operatives arrived the scene with back up personnel after the suspected Yoruba Nation agitators had already taken over the assembly complex premises, and hosted their flag.
As at the time of this report, the alleged members of the Oodua Nation who perpetrated the act have been arrested by security operatives while normalcy has returned to the area.
